Competitive gymnasts need to be fast and have stamina in order to be successful. Speed is important for vault because it allows the gymnast to get over the vault and have time to rotate in the air. Endurance is important for floor and bars because it allows the gymnast to get through their hard routines with ease. Exercises and drills will help get you to the podium.
